Albania: Perrenjas

Railway station in Perrenjas. At first I didn't know the name of this railway station (as there was no information anywhere at the station), all I knew is that it's close to Pogradec (I remember it was one of the first stations where the train stopped after leaving Pogradec). However one of the readers of this blog commented that this is Perrenjas station, so the mystery was solved (Albania, August 2008).

Sorry, dear admin! This is not rail station in Pogradec. This is not closed. It's a small rail station in Perrenjas, a small nickel mine and industrial city, some kilometers before Pogradec. At this station you can see some hills in backs. The station "Guri i Kuq" - "Red Stone" in Pogradec is based in the side of Ohrid Lake. Usually, small station in Albania named by small cities where train stoped. Thanks for your attention about my country. Thanks that you show photo by Albania.

Yes, I know this is not station in Pogradec. That is why this post was named "somewhere on the route from Pogradec to Tirana". Somewhere, but I did not know exactly the name of that place.

I've been in Pogradec also and I have picture of that station: http://railwaystations.blogspot.com/2008/09/albania-pogradec-pogradeci.html

Anyway, thanks a lot for information and I'm changing the name of the post. I still don't know some names of Albanian train stations, so I'll appreciate any help.

One thing I noticed - did you see that all the railway stations in Albania on the pictures have a solar collector on the roof ?! I think it is great - you can not expect that after years of deep comunism there will be luxury but I do admire that even if living in modest conditions these people think future ! Way to go !
